Students completed a unit on our U.S. Constitution in which they were required to pass a test for advancement to high school. The students learned many facts and terms about our system of government such as republic, checks and balances, Preamble, Bill of Rights, separation of powers, and co-equal branches of government. At the conclusion of this unit, students were assigned a project in which they had to analyze newspaper articles and identify how they relate to our Constitution and affect our daily lives.
