The American Journey – McGraw-Hill Glencoe Publishing ©2005
Course Topics:
American history beginning with WWI and concluding with an introduction to the Cold War. The course also includes a unit on the U.S. Constitution. Students are required to pass a U.S. Constitution test for promotion to 9th Grade.
Grading Scale:
90 – 100: A 70 – 79: C
80 – 89: B 60 – 69: D
under 60: F
Make-up Work
If students are absent the day before a test or quiz they will take it the day they return, unless it has been an extended absence. It is the student’s responsibility to check the assignment folder and Google Classroom for their make-up work. Late work is accepted at 50% up to two weeks past the assignment deadline. Work submitted beyond the two week grace period will not be accepted.

- Be patient while I am taking roll
- Keep talking to a minimum
- Complete all assignments and turn in on time

- No food or drink other than water
Classroom Discipline:
- 1st offense: warning
- 2nd offense: checkmark
- 3rd offense: call to parents or guardian
- 4th offense: Disciplinary Referral
